Our linens are high quality and have been specially chosen to keep you cool and comfortable, as well as, warm blankets should you need.

The Big Island Hostel is located in the downtown business district of Hilo near the Waiakea Stream. It’s a quaint,  hometown area that includes residential streets as well as a variety of local businesses. The University of Hawai’i at Hilo is just a short drive away, as is the Imiloa Astronomy Center and Planetarium, which has daily programs. Nearby Wailoa Center houses two galleries, and is located in the Wailoa River State Park, which is near Hilo’s King Kamehameha Statue. The Center features monthly rotating art exhibits, which are free. Otherwise, it’s a pleasant, relaxed neighborhood to walk around and experience Hilo Town.
